451: Military Sexual Assault Survivor, Trina McDonald and Service Dog

The Dog Show #451 – October 18, 2017
U.S. Navy veteran, Trina McDonald speaks about her experience with military sexual trauma and the difference her service dog, Suzzie has made for her in helping her cope with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and getting back out in the world. Julie speaks in the beginning about service dog welfare to remind you that dogs can’t advocate for themselves, and that the service dog industry has a shadow-side that you don’t typically hear about in media stories. We love and honor how dogs can help people find their voice!
